Developed in the 1950s, the M18 Claymore mine saw its first use during the Vietnam War. This directional anti-personnel mine offered a relatively simple design: a metal housing containing explosives, a detonation system, and a method for safe transport on the battlefield.
The M7 Bandolier Pouch addressed the carrying need. This olive drab canvas satchel featured two compartments. One held the Claymore mine itself, while the other housed the firing device, test set, and blasting cap assembly.
