Genuine USSR MiG GSh-6 high-altitude flight helmet in its original blue wooden storage box with black metal flight label. The Soviet GSH-6 Pressurized Sub-Orbital Flight Helmet was usually used on MIG-21, MIG-23 and MIG-25 fighter interceptor airplanes as well as for cosmonaut training flights. The clear pressure visor is electrically heated to prevent fogging of the visor.
Complete with the locking neck ring, latex pressure dam, inner helmet with microphone assembly and connector, and soft cloth inner cap. The visor could be raised during normal/non-high-altitude flight.
Excellent condition and a remarkable piece of Soviet aviation and space history!
